I mean… tablet is a must-have nowadays, isn’t it?

Tablet is almost an essential for everyone. People use it to play games, to watch Netflix, or just reading books.

I love books. That’s why for me tablet is an essential.

I can’t read ebooks on my laptop. Idk why but I can’t focus reading on laptops.

I’d choose reading physical books everytime EXCEPT the cost I spent buying physical books is nonsense (especially here in Indonesia). So choosing ebooks would be the wiser choice.

I’ve been saving for 4-months to buy new tablets. I use Apple devices so it’s pretty logical if I buy iPads. Although, the price of new iPads are… !?!?! I’ve been back and forth choosing whether I’d buy an iPad or Samsung tablet, considering the Samsung ones already pen included. Although, the price is almost the same as iPad.

I also consider the more affordable android tablets like Huawei Matepad, Kindle Fire, or Xiaomi. But they don’t have the cellular one (just Wi-Fi) and I need the cellular one. So it’s a no.

Anyway, I do have an iPad mini that I’ve been using since 2013 or 2014. And today I just found out that the one I have was THE first generation. Wow.

And it still works super fine!

So maybe if you’re like me, and you’re not using tablet for heavy apps like games, you can consider buying iPad mini 1 or 2 because they’re super duper cheap now but still works.

The only downside is YouTube application is no longer works in this iOS :( so I literally use this tablet for reading ebooks, mail, and taking notes (the newest iOS for iPad mini 1 is 9)

Okay here it is!

The apps looks like this.
Model A1432 a.k.a iPad mini Gen 1 Wi-Fi only

I also added a video demonstrating how I use it to read and highlighting in iBooks (yes, the old iOS still use iBooks instead of Books for newest iOS :))

Opening Ebooks

Highlighting Ebooks

So yeah I’ve been using this iPad for almost 7 years now and I still use it everytime!

Hope this helps for considering what generation of iPad you should buy!
